Despite whatever activity to the contrary, [info]plumsnickety is dead.

Has been revived at [info]zeplum.

Y'all can stay friended over here for locked entry access, etc. But otherwise, it's just for nostalgia value.

As some of you might already know, or might've already figured out, I've decided to kill this journal.

Okay, not exactly KILL...more like maim, or at least tie up and stick it down in the basement (like a crazy old aunt). Heh, I've Baby Jane'd [info]plumsnickety. *giggle*

So. No more posts here. The journal itself will remain, mostly because my old fic is still floating around (the majority unlocked), and because I want to eventually bring my memories over to my new LJ.

Whew. Anywhoo. If you want to keep on with my keepings on, the new place to go is [info]zeplum. Otherwise, it's been grand.

PS - Why, in the name of all things holy, are the backs of my EARS itching?!

They have rescheduled!

April 29, 2005 @ Club Infinity
Buffalo/Williamsville, NY

This means I could have enough money saved by that point to MOVE *and* to still fly up for the show. For I am nothing if not dedicated. And a wee bit insane. *g*

Hugh, please wait to abduct/corrupt Callum until after the show this time, okay? Thanks a billion.

This is proof postive that when you start chatting with [info]serialkarma, things happen. Wacky, cracked out things. Sorry to scare you with my gnome icon, babe. Hope this makes up for it. *g*

So here it is, my first due South fic ever. Woo!

Gnomes Have Ways

'So what if people are stealing chubby little men off people's lawns? Is that really a crime? Shouldn't it qualify more as a public service?' )

Comments (and more gnome statuary) are entirely welcome. And just so the GLF doesn't put a hit out on me, all my gnomes are safe from bird droppings and warm in my house. The drunken one has a full pint and the fey one has enough sparkles to keep him busy well into the new year.

I started writing this with one goal in mind, but as per usual that kinda got away from me. Instead is a long, but still abbreviated history of Me and My Bipolarness. You shouldn't judge once experience by another, so consider mine just another voice in the crowd.

I just dropped several people off my friends list. If you'd like to be added back on, comment below.

There were a few people I would have liked to drop as well, but I restrained myself because I once classified them as friends. I don't know what I classify them as now, but until I figure that out, I'm not going to take any action.

All that being said, if you want to defriend me go ahead and do so. It's an open-rotating-door around here -- the buffet and open bar are to your left. Have a nice day!

Mood: listless

Last night: Four hours of due South. Mmm, revel in the Kowalski goodness. Seriously, in "Perfect Strangers", looking at Callum is equivalent to looking at the sun. I don't know if it's the blue shirt or the appearance of the black leather jacket, but gah...very much the gah. Plus, he's just all sorts of funny snarking up a storm when they go to Toronto and later with Yellow Frannie.

*sigh* I love my show. Yeah, Farscape is my show too, but for me, I can have multiples. Farscape, Babylon 5, Buffy, China Beach, due South...all represent some significant chapter of my life in one way or another. I think Battlestar Galactica is going to be the new one. And sorry, [info]serialkarma, I caved and am getting the eps on DVD from the torrents. I can't help it, the draw of Apollo was just too great.

Anyway, just in case anyone was worried, I don't have TB. Yeah, good to know, right? I had my skin test reading this morning at the public health dept. After waiting ten minutes in a waiting room filled with cranky old people waiting to get their flu shots (smell the Aspercream!) I had three different nurses examine the tiny red spot on my arm. Rub it, prod it, yeah, "My arm es su arm". Finally I was declared fit and I boogied out of there before one of the old people tripped with their cane.

In case you missed it, I made a mess of Thursday Next icons that are up for grabs.

Broken record time...if you've got drabble prompts for me, feel free to drop them here.

And man, how annoyed am I that the Hitler Channel is showing the Montgomery vs. Rommel thing at 3 o'clock and not at lunch? Desert Fox! Desert Fox!

This was much the fun. Any other requests (characters, prompts, etc) can be dropped off in comments. I'll tackle them for Wednesday.

And in the end I did end up watching due South last night, precipitating my revelation on exactly why I gravitate towards Ray Kowalski so much. A revelation which hit during "Mountie and Soul". Oy.

I also got my copy of "Nickels for Your Nightmares" yesterday afternoon. Whee! Lemme just say, sitting back to Hugh's vocals with a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate is a bliss that could only be improved upon with fuzzy slippers and a bottle of Beck's Dark. It might have also inspired lesbian sex/lesbian much with the drama-rama dreams...and some dream about being in the Road Rules/Real World Challenge...but I'm not going to worry about it all that much for reasons that are probably readily apparent.

Now I must flee. They're drilling or something in the space right next to my cubical. And this, the one day I didn't bring my ear plugs. Dangit.

For [info]lexcorp_hope upon her departure from Smallville fandom. Thank you for all of your encouragement and support over the last two years. I doubt I would have carried on through certain dark days if I didn't have you in the back of my mind poking me ever onward. I can only hope I'm lucky enough to meet up with you in another fandom along the way.

This bit's for you, because I know how you like when the picture's not quite clear...

While flipping around waiting for Family Bonds to kick on, I passed by the end of some ep on the History Channel detailing Boudicca's last battle against the Romans. Cool urban legend, they said, it's thought by some that King's Cross Station is built on the site of this battle, or that Boudicca is buried under platform No. 9*.

Interesting. Of course my little fannish crackhead brain immediately starts knitting together Harry Potter's Platform 9 and 3/4 with Boudicca and the whole Mists of Avalon universe, like No. 9 is a grand center of ancient Briton magical power dating back to the days of the Forest House and Avalon.

Then I flipped the channel and watch an hour of bail bondsmen hilarity on HBO, effectively killing all internal nattering for which I'm grateful.

Now, First Line Respones:

for musesfool - Chloe and Remy crack, because I <3 their snark potential )

for sister_wolf - Billy, Joe and ABBA )

for wyoluvr - BSG, Kara's annoyed...what else is new? )

for callmesandy - Everwood, Laynie and her cigarettes )

Also, Gurgi in The Black Cauldron is so very much a hairy Smeagol on speed.

Yet another entry in the continuing "Why Do I Even Try Anymore?" thing. One day I will actually learn.
